If you would like to contact me, please phone the office at 203-264-5030, and leave a message at extension “0.”
I rarely answer the phone during business hours, when I am in session with clients. I return calls as soon as my schedule allows. The office is closed on Sundays, but you may still leave a message.
During an initial call, I take time to gather information, answer your questions, and ascertain whether my services are potentially a good fit for you. If, at that time, it seems a different type of clinical intervention would serve you better, I will make suggestions to that effect. If making an appointment to meet seems right, we will do so. In either case, there is no charge for this initial phone consultation.
If, after the initial phone consultation, a full family assessment is recommended, I will schedule it when your family members and I can all meet at the WORKshop. A family assessment may last up to three hours.
After the family assessment, I will develop a treatment plan. I will recommend a combination of individual, couples, and family therapy that will, in my opinion, best serve all members of the family. You will be free to choose the plan in its entirety or to select the parts that appeal to you.
Because insurance companies are often rigid with regard to diagnosis, frequency of sessions, and best clinical practices, I have chosen not to join their panels, with the exception of Connecticut Husky. I prefer to work clinically in ways that are in the best interest of the client. I am especially committed to working with my clients at the pace that is optimal for an efficient and positive outcome.
I ask for payment at the time of each session. Cash, checks, and major credit cards are accepted. At the close of each month, I am happy to provide receipts that you may submit to your insurance company for out-of-network services.
